Netflix reaches a long-term agreement to offer weekly live sports entertainment
WWE’s ‘Raw’ will reportedly join Netflix in 2025 in an alleged $5 billion 10-year arrangement.
Netflix will host WWE ‘s “Monday Night Raw” as of 2025, this signals streaming giant going into live events and marks a major change for the stables topmost show.
Reports have mentioned that this deal is expected to last for ten years and cost $5 billion in disparate quarters. On Tuesday, it was announced that the agreement would involve making ‘Raw’ available through streamed services in US, Canada, UK as well as Latin America among others.

It is currently shown on the USA Network where it will be until October 2024; however, after this, it is unclear where ‘Raw’ will air until it is streamed on Netflix in 2025. This announcement comes at a critical time for WWE as they start gearing up for Wrestle-mania 40.
The cover athletes for the upcoming WWE 2K24 video game were unveiled by WWE on Monday leading up to WrestleMania 40. A big appearance on January 1 by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson had much more attention, and so did CM Punk’s November’s come back.

Netflix is being viewed by WWE as potentially transformative and terrestrially about changing sports and live events online.
The move represents another bold step by the company WWE whose attack on the pay-per-view system was years ago combined with the launch of the WWE Network streaming service in 2012. The move to integrate the service into NBC’s Peacock streaming app has helped the company increase its cash inflows. Bringing its flagship show to streaming services further cements the company’s position as a pioneer in entertainment.
