The casting news will be released just in time for Barbecue Showdown Season 3’s July 2022 reality show premiere.
‘Barbecue Showdown’ Introduction
Prepare for a fresh serving of episodes from Netflix’s cooking competition series Barbecue Showdown. If you’re eager to shift from viewer to participant, Netflix is currently seeking contestants for Season 4 of the show.
Since September 2020, the show has showcased eight contestants competing to become the American Barbecue Champion, vying for a $50,000 prize by skillfully preparing meats in various styles and tackling unconventional challenges.
Think you’ve got what it takes to be America’s top backyard or competitive barbecue chef?” asks the advertisement. “Producers of Netflix’s Barbecue Showdown are now accepting casting submissions for potential contestants in future seasons.
Season 3 of the series, featuring Michelle Buteau returning as host, is scheduled to premiere with eight fresh episodes just in time for Independence Day (July 4th, 2024). Kevin Bludso and Melissa Cookston serve as judges on the show.
‘Barbecue Showdown’ Concept

In a heated cook-off, contestants from different parts of America battle it out to be crowned ‘American Barbecue Champion’. The competition features eight starters with different levels of experience in grilling meat thus they are grilled using various methods and seasonings which they are not aware of. To emphasize that there is more to it than just being an excellent cook, one has to know how hot their grill must be as well as secrets for smoking ribs within minutes. This is because all tasks must be finished within the shortest possible time compared to what is normally expected for such a meal or else you lose points at once.
