Netflix Secures Rights to Multiple AMC Series: ‘Interview With The Vampire’, ‘Preacher’, and ‘Fear The Walking Dead

Five AMC series are set to arrive on Netflix US soon.

Upcoming AMC Series Introduction

Soon, Netflix in the United States will add several AMC shows to its lineup, featuring popular titles like Interview with the Vampire and Fear The Walking Dead.

In August 2023, Max acquired Interview with the Vampire, Dark Winds, Gangs of London, Killing Eve, Fear the Walking Dead, A Discovery of Witches, and Ride with Norman Reedus. “Between September 1st and November 2023, these same titles were accessible through Max’s platform,’ said Tom, one of the directors at Max.

Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen created the supernatural series, adapted from the DC comic book series for television. The show starred Dominic Cooper, Joseph Gilgun, and Ruth Negga. In the past 12 months, according to Unogs, Reacher was taken in by different parts of the world including Netflix in France, Germany, India, Italy and Switzerland.

One of AMC’s numerous spin-offs for The Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead originally served as a prequel to the franchise before intertwining with the main series in subsequent seasons.

The series spanned eight seasons and featured a total of 113 episodes. Cast members included Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Elizabeth Rodriguez.

Netflix used to host Into the Badlands show, but AMC released subsequent seasons a short while after. Nevertheless, when it was over, it ceased to be on Netfix in November 2018 thereby removing all its three seasons from that platform.

All 32 episodes of the series, created by Alfred Gough (who is currently involved with Netflix’s Wednesday series) and Miles Millar, are set to make a comeback.

Starring Daniel Wu, the series also featured Orla Brady, Sarah Bolger, and Aramis Knight in prominent roles.

Monsieur Spade [AMC Series]

The latest addition to Netflix from the AMC deal is “Monsieur Spade,” a miniseries created by Scott Frank (known for “Godless” and “The Queen’s Gambit”), featuring Clive Owen in the lead role.

In early 1960s, the events follow the story of detective Sam Spade who lives a peaceful life in Bozouls, France. This tranquility is disrupted with the brutal murder of six nuns at the nearby convent.

One of the series that debuted on Max last year and is now headed to Netflix is Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, featuring Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, and Bailey Bass in this gothic horror adaptation.

The series, which recently concluded its second season on AMC, centers around the life story of vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac.

To improve the viewer engagement, especially on its increasingly expanding ad-supported sector, Netflix includes these TV programs in its library both in the United States and worldwide.

The accumulated titles from AMC on Netflix will be enriched by these recent additions. In the USA, Netflix earlier in the year started streaming the BBC/AMC co-distributed series, Killing Eve, which will be available on the platform until October 2025 for its four seasons.
