Filming for the second season of One Piece is currently in progress in South Africa, with the announcement of the initial seven key cast members.
Following a productive first season, One Piece was given another season. While filming goes on for Season Two, here are all the available details we have, which include information about new characters, the cast and any other updates concerning One Piece Season 2 on Netflix.

What is The Main Plot of ‘One Piece’ Season 2
In the first season, Luffy concentrated on his efforts to serve as the Pirate King by honing his abilities in airbending. Season 2, however, will be more interested in earthbending which is the next elemental mastery that luffy would have to achieve, something that Season includes.
When venturing into the Earth Kingdom, Luffy and his crew – Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji – shall sail on a journey to this extensive and heterogeneous kingdom. They shall meet various cultures and face daunting earthbending skills.

In order to enhance his skills, Luffy would try to find an expert earthbending teacher. In this process, he might meet distinguished characters like Omashu’s King Bumi who help him understand his powers.
Meeting Challenges: Learning earthbending calls for another style different from airbending. Luffy has to adjust his fighting style and establish a relationship with the earth element, facing adversity and mistakes as he moves forward into achieving perfect command of it.

Season 2 of the show will explore the Earth Kingdom’s varied landscapes and vast cultures. This will provide viewers with an insight into how its population lives as they struggle against the imminent destruction by Fire Nation. Furthermore, earthbending techniques from various regions are being taught in it with the aim of enriching the complex ‘One Piece’ universe lore.

Season 1 should have had very good viewership considering how popular the one piece brand is but there was never any official confirmation. Season two of the show is being filmed right now; it will end by January 2025; that reveals confidence in Netflix regarding this series production update.
Within only three weeks of being on the platform, One Piece got 47.8 million views. This is why it comes as no surprise that the series remained among the top ten on a global scale for a period of eight weeks with about 63.6 million views converting into 480.3 million viewing hours worldwide.

On June 25th, Netflix officially announced the Baroque Works agents:
- Daniel Lasker (Raised by Wolves) as Mr. 9
- Camrus Johnson (Batwoman) as Mr. 5
- Jazzara Jaslyn (Warrior) as Miss Valentine
- David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil) as Mr. 3
After learning of her casting for season two, Lasker said, “I’m so touched and excited that I don’t know what to say, to be in the midst of such a great cast like that of One Piece. The world that Oda-san created is one of my favorites, and it is unbelievable that, at last, I am part of the characters.
