There is still hope for the hunt. Something exciting is coming as the Pogues from Outer Banks take yet another adventure in their fourth installment set to be aired in 2024. Although one chapter has been closed, chapter four is about to start and the search now shifts towards Blackbeard’s treasure. Below is a quick preview of what you should expect in season 4
How did the Cast Announce the ‘Outer Banks’ Season 4?
Where else but Poguelandia! In February 2023, Huntington Beach, California was transformed into a fan-centric event celebrating the world of the Pogues. Cast members Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Rudy Pankow, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, and Carlacia Grant, alongside Drew Starkey and Austin North from the Kooks, gathered on stage to announce the arrival of Season 4, well ahead of Season 3’s premiere.
As Stokes perched at the stage’s edge, he disclosed that the audience members were the first people ever to find out about the renewal of the TV show “Outer Banks” for the 4th season. He thanked John B, the Pogues, and even Kooks fans for being supportive of them for already three and a half years. “This is a very big day for all of us,” he stated. He also said, “I would like to really thank our amazing cast and crew for their commitment and effort.
What will Outer Banks Season 4 explore?
In the Season 3 finale, the Pogues had experienced 18 months since discovering the gold in El Dorado. They were still grappling with the losses of Ward (Charles Esten) and Big John (Charles Halford), but were finally taking a moment to process their hard-earned victory. Co-creator Shannon Burke noted to Tudum that they couldn’t leave the season entirely without a win. Co-creator Josh Pate added, “We knew they needed a victory, but it turned out to be a complex one. We wanted the audience to feel they had achieved something meaningful, despite the challenges.

“In Season 3, the creators and executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke aimed to highlight the deep bond of friendship among the Pogues amidst escalating stakes. Reflecting on the season, Burke emphasized to Tudum that while there’s plenty of action and adventure, the heart of the show lies in the camaraderie between the friends. Josh Pate added that he wanted viewers, especially those aspiring to be like the Pogues, to anticipate and sense that more adventures are yet to come.”
Who’s the cast Member of Outer Banks Season 4?
The Pogues returning for their upcoming adventure would surely make a big difference to the Outer Banks. Among the return series regulars are John B played by Chase Stokes, Sarah played by Madelyn Cline, Kiara by Madison Bailey, Pope by Jonathan Daviss, JJ by Rudy Pankow, Cleo by Carlacia Grant, Topper by Austin North, Rafe by Drew Starkey. Additionally, Fiona Palomo will play Sofia again and she has been made a series regular.

- Rigo Sanchez (known for roles in Animal Kingdom and Station 19) portrays Lightner, a formidable stranger with a daring pirate-like demeanor. This rugged and strategic outdoorsman arrives to challenge the Pogues.
- Mia Challis (known for roles in FBI: International and Clickbait) portrays Ruthie, an adventurous spirit with a rebellious side, who forms a strong bond with Topper.
