‘Sue Bird: In The Clutch’ Stream WNBA Sports Documentary in Netflix

Sarah Dowland is soon to launch her sports documentary film on Netflix, starring Sue Bird. This is after it was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and is expected to be aired on Netflix United States screens. The scheduled date for its streaming debut will be Thursday; June 6th 2024.

Introduction:

This documentary was created by the Black Bar Mitzvah, Jigsaw Productions, and Waffle Iron Entertainment, capturing the amazing odyssey of WNBA superstar Sue Bird. Combining this with twenty years experience, the accumulation of many awards leaves one stunned because among them are five Olympic gold medals. Bird and her fiancée, super U.S. soccer player Megan Rapinoe are made to deal with the frightening idea of no longer being one since it is certain that for such a long time this was her unique existence.

As of this writing, the documentary has an 86% rating on RottenTomatoes and gained a good deal of positive feedback shortly after its debut in a 98-minute film. Monica Castillo of RogerEbert said, “It is a journey through emotions and an opportunity to reflect on a great career, with its tone being a source of joy while paying homage to one of the league’s most honored athletes.”

In early March 2024, Wolfe Releasing got the distribution rights for the title shortly after having been premiered at Sundance. Noteworthy among LGBTQ+ audience-targeted movies, the company has just achieved its latest triumphs; these include but are not limited to “Ahead of the Curve” (which became available on Netflix in May 2024), “The Sixth Reel” and “Good Kisser”. Prior to its premiere as part of Netflix programming, this documentary could only be seen on other video-on-demand sites like Apple TV or Amazon Prime Video.”
