‘The Neon Highway’ Plot

The Neon Highway plot is located in Nashville and talks about Wayne, who is a musician and songwriter. Another main character is an alcoholic, ex-singer-star of country music who is washed up living in the past when he meets Wayne after surviving an accident. This event seems to have stopped that journey into fame but rather sparked off motivation for Wayne renewing his energy on music business aiming to take back his rightfully deserved share of fame.

Incorporating original music by Nashville singer-songwriter Dallas Davidson, renowned for his studio album “This Ole Boy,” the film also showcases appearances by country music luminaries Lee Brice and Pam Tillis.

Heading the cast is Beau Bridges who has been in the movie industry since the late nineteen forties. Among his more significant parts are those he played in “The Fabulous Baker Boys”, “Max Payne” and “Hit and Run”.

Rob Mayes takes on the role of Wayne Collins, recognized for his performance in the 2012 film “John Dies at the End.” Sam Hennings, T.J. Power, Lee Brice, Pam Tillis, and Jennifer Bowles complete the main cast ensemble.

Information from the audience is very rare and this is likely attributed to the movie’s narrow distribution. Nonetheless when it comes to rating, critics have been relatively overgenerous where it has a score of 64% on RottenTomatoes according to them. Reminding one of an old country music piece, this film has been described as possessing the same relaxed and heartwarming appeal even though there are no great risks taken or any deep emotions involved by Jeffrey M. Anderson who reviewed for Common Sense Media.

Audiences have given the film high ratings, with scores of 8.1 on IMDb and 100% on RottenTomatoes.
