For the month of June, Netflix is featuring a variety of Korean dramas to look forward to especially the upcoming political drama “The Whirlwind.” Below is a summary of what one should expect on Netflix’s “The Whirlwind”.
Directed by Kim Yong Wan, who is famous for “If You Wish Upon Me,” and scripted by Park Kyung Soo, who found fame through “Punch,” “The Whirlwind,” is an original Netflix political drama from South Korea, and it is set to be released soon.

The Whirlwind 2024 Netflix K-Drama Cast
Sol Kyung Gu will play the part of Park Dong-Ho in” The Whirlwind”, a drama series that will be his second on television with the first one being launched back in 1999. He is known to many because he starred in a Netflix thriller titled “Kill Bok Soon” but has also received accolades for his performance in movies such as “Memoir of a Murderer’, “Gonggongui Jeog”and ”Oasis” outside the streaming service.”
Kim Hee Ae was announced to be cast in the crucial role of Jung Soo Jin in “The Whirlwind”. Though she has only been on Netflix once as Hwang Do Hee in “Queenmaker,” she is widely known especially after playing a major role in jTBC’s series “The World of the Married” that is the cable Korean drama series with the highest ratings up to now.
