Introduction of ‘XO, Kitty Season 2
XO, Kitty is a television show that was created, written, and produced by Jenny Han exclusively for Netflix a romantic comedy series. It also serves as a spin-off of the beloved To All the Boys film series on Netflix, comprising three films.
The storyline is about a young teenage matchmaker by name Kitty Song Covey who thought she knew all there is to know about love. Later on, she ever moved halfway around the world to stay close to her boyfriend through distance. But upon getting there realised how tricky navigating through relations could be especially when it concerned herself.

Renewal Status of ‘XO, Kitty Season 2’
In June 2023, Netflix renewed the show through news articles and official announcements.Even entertainment websites and industry publications mirrored the renewal news during the same period.This renewal reveals Netflix’s optimism in the series and its possibilities for an exciting second season although a release date has not been provided.
For the upcoming season Jenny Han is returning as showrunner together with Sascha G. Rothchild who are both executive producers as well. The upcoming season also has Hanna Stanbridge, Chris Martin and Emily Kim as staff writers.
Performance of ‘XO, Kitty’ on Netflix!!
In its first four days, XO, Kitty has already captured a lot of attention on Netflix by giving subscribers 72,080,000 hours. The latter beats it only for Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Series in terms of popularity.
Netflix releases their weekly ranking every Tuesday, which shows the top 40 movies and shows according to language. For four weeks straight, XO, Kitty managed to remain in the top 10 spot, garnering a total of 180.15 million hours watched globally.

Its first week showcase was strong unlike the second week that made a follow up that was equally strong with the second weekend remaining stable for sometime before dipping by more than half during the transition from the second to the third week. Cast and Crew of ‘XO, Kitty Season 2’
In February 2024, it was disclosed that Netflix was actively seeking three new cast members for the upcoming season.
Mr. Choi: Also a new series regular for Season 2, he is a prominent talent manager funding a new arts program at K.I.S.S. Known for his handsome charm and narcissistic tendencies, he has a reputation as a ladies’ man.
Sophie: She is a new cast member in Season 2 and she is a Korean American teenager from Ohio who hails together with her Korean church at the eleventh hour for an exchange program.
Young: A recurring guest star in Season 2, Young is determined to become captain of the track team. Naturally competitive and openly Queer, Young serves as a primary rival to one of the main protagonists.
Although specific cast members have not yet been officially announced, Hollywood trade publications have revealed three newcomers joining the cast for the upcoming season.
- Audrey Huynh (known for ANZBBGRL and Wyrm) has been cast as Stella, a new series regular in the series.
- Sasha Bhasin (from Brave the Dark) will appear in a recurring role as Preveena.
- Joshua Lee (seen in Gangnam Project) will also recur in the role of Jin.
