The protagonist now finds himself in a strange place that is unlike any other he has ever known wishing to make a fresh beginning again but old habits die hard. Response? This time, having been badly hurt before, he goes away from memories behind; running away from problems might not solve them after all (city name cannot be disclosed for security reasons).After embracing another identity, he anticipates abandoning his blurry past and starting fresh.

Although he still dwells in the echoes of his previous actions, Joe can’t stop thinking about them. Will Joe’s fixations come back, endangering his present calmness? Will Marienne and Love’s son, Theo, have any part in this eventful unfolding story of his?

Joe tries to make another clean beginning however, a dark twist happens upon his encounter with an obscure character who seems well-informed on the wrong things he had committed before. Joe struggles to protect his new lease on life as he plays a thrilling game of cat and mouse, exposing the identity of someone.

After he has finally given in to those dark urges and tricked Love Quinn, Joe Goldberg decides to move with his young baby boy called Henry from Los Angeles to New York where they can start afresh. Despite being in New York City, Joe is still worried that if he doesn’t change his ways, someone might find them out but at least for now it looks like everything will turn out just fine between him and Henry.

In fact, every day seems like a peaceful one; one that you would want even if there were noises outside – because he found safety in anonymity. But in-between this newfound peace that seems like no end in sight especially now that he has managed forget all the sentencing memories behind him; some ghosts seem not be forgotten. Marianne could also come back after narrowly missing his trap while living in Paris with him seeking revenge or to unmask him.

It is a question of either safeguarding Henry or submitting to his darker side altogether with which Joe struggles at all times.Anxiety characterises Joe’s relationship with Love which was founded on co-dependence. Having to deal with issue related to her death, Joe is at the crossroads of his life and prospects.
